Бля, сейчас читаю новости и просто зверею - корпорация ментов просит корпорацию воров.. Какой-то Фаллаут или "герои меча и магии". Да и вира выросла. И теперь цена чурбана, мента, мностранца - выше не в два раза, на порядок, как минимум.

Слишком много желаний и непутевых раздумий. Сплошная вода без оболочки и мыслей… Мыслительный процесс перестал вызывать болезненные ощущения. Причин может быть немного. Одна из них – трепанация черепа. Если у тебя нет мозгов, болеть нечему.

In other news:

I have a "FIRST" to report.  Working as I have in this same area for years and years, I've known that one of the local intersections is fairly notorious for people running the red, or doing whats called "Elephant Tailing" by traffic engineers. Basically 9 cars that are bumper-to-bumper slip through the intersection while its red because, "Well hell I'm already IN the intersection, right?" Anyway, so you people know, traffic wise, you're not "safe".  You're still running the red light.

TODAY.  I FINALLY saw someone Get BUSTED for red light running at the Intersection of Jefferson & Oyster Point! Woo!  little Silver SUV runs through the intersection and the COP who's head of the line in the middle lane, flips on his lights, and makes a U-turn in front of the Left turn lane people and pulls the SUV over into the parking lot of the Starbucks there on the corner.

I was F-ing THRILLED.  That light is NUTS for people running the light, in ALL directions. And God help you if there is an accident on Oyster point running over to Warwick, because then that intersection is TOTALLY hosed.

But Today, the good guys were in the right place at the right time.

New Shoggoth Pit has AC. Thank goodness.

You know.. I don't know the whole "theory" behind how strippers work.. but I am NOT getting my Moneys worth here.

I mean sure, its not like we're buying the most expensives ones out there, but I would figure even a medium price Stripper would give you good bang for your buck you know?

As it is, the stripper we picked up from Home Depot this weekend is really ticking me off.  I followed all the directions, laid it down right, and I STILL end up having to just scrape away at paint that just ISN'T Moving.

Are you supposed to prepare the surface before applying the stripping agent? If so, I totally missed that on the can. And Yes, I even read the directions! I dunno.   This shite is weird tho.  I was glopping it onto the details, and the top layer of the nasty green paint was wrinkling up on contact, but even with a thick layer on some portions, ONLY the top layer seems to be affected.

But in some places, the paint peels away all in a single peice straight down to the wood.    I totally don't get it.

As it is now, I seem to have the best results on areas of the doors where I've exposed the edges of the layers of paint all the way down to the wood.  

Top Layer comes up like a breeze, but that 2nd layer is like frickin Bulletproof or some shite.

The Mahogany/Red layer on one door I've got is also INSANLY Hard to get to move short of hitting it with the sander.

Made a LOT of progress this weekend on the doors, but not nearly as much as I would have liked on Sunday.

Also, not wearing my dust mask while scraping the doors/stripper, = BAD IDEA.  feeling like crap today despite lots of Alergy meds on board.

I was bit by another early morning creative streak... I took a different approach this time, instead of forming my thoughts into poetry, I grabbed a pen and just started writing down ideas. 

Finding that I need to start carrying a small pad with me, who knows when a genius idea may strike... I've had my moments, saying I'll write it down later, only to get caught up in something else and forgetting about it.

My heart is aching and I don't know why...

I'd like to go see the new Harry Potter this weekend,  Erin's wedding is Friday... bachelor party on Wednesday.

Is finding that I, really, have an aversion to Miley Cyrus... she is pretty much unattractive.  Maybe it is just the bad genes seeping through.  I don't get how guys think she is hot... hahaha.  And can somebody please tell me what the fuck is going on, when bands, clad in full black leather, are out in the sunny desert "rocking out"?  Its like... "hello stroke!"  dumbasses, I know they're probably in a studio but.. well, yea.  "I am so cool, I am a bad ass, I can stay out in the dessert, in full leather regalia, sing and still keep my hair gelled perfectly!"  har har har

Today, my sister and I went to Johnny Rocket's, the Forrest Hills, NY location for lunch. I have been telling her for the longest how great this place is and finally got her to come with me there.

We got there about 12:30pm and left about 2pm.

Everything started out fine, we ordered drinks and the food.

My order - chilli dog with the chilli on the side and a diet coke
Naomi - Soy burger (or something like that) with cheese and an ice tea with a flavor shot of vanilla.

The drinks came no problems there, then the sucks started coming like crazy:

- My sister didn't like her ice tea (she later told me she didn't taste the vanilla) and asked for a lemonade (which was the same price as the lemonade and that had free refills) instead. The waiter brought the lemonade and then says that she will be charged for it becuase he had to enter the lemonade into the cash register. We were like WTF?, why didn't he tell us this when it was asked for. My sister said she didn't want it then, because she didn't want to pay extra for it. The waiter then just left it on the table.

The food came:
- My sister burger came with no cheese and she told him that. He then was like you know you have to pay extra for that right?? Again we were like WTF?? We knew that when we origonally ordered the burger that we would be charged extra for it, we got no apology from him.
- My chili for the hotdog was supposed to come with cheese on it, there was none so I had to ask him for it. He also neglected to give me a spoon to be able to eat the chili. I had to ask for a setting 2x, and when I finally got it, it consisted of a teaspoon and a butter knife (he was holding the silverware in his bare hand, the silverware was not in a napkin).
- We had to ask him for the thing to put the ketchup in
- Since we had to wait for my them to get my sister's order right, we were eating my fries and finished them, I wanted more and took me a while to get the waiter to get a fry refill. They have this thing that you get all you can eat American Fries with any entree.

It was like he really didn't care.

Meanwhile, while we were getting this sucky service from our waiter he was giving excellent service to the table right next to us and again I was like WTF?? He was even taking their order when our food was on ready on the counter, and taking his time with them.

We asked for the check and at that point I asked to get the movie tickets. They sell discounted movie tickets to Regal for $7.50.

We got the check, the waiter just left it on the table and didn't say a word. I opened the check holder and saw that we were charged for the tickets but didn't see them in there. At that point I had enough and asked for the manager.

The manager came and I told her about that I usually got good service when ever I came here, but this time I got really bad service. I listed off all the things that happened.

When I brought up about the cheese not being on the burger the manager started making excuses for him and I was like no, he even admitted that it was not the cooks fault and that was his own.

We were then left with the check, the check was $38.99. For the food, drinks and two movie tickets.

I put in $30 for the food, my sister then gave $10. I told her it would be great if you have $9 in exact change, she then went into her wallent and got a 5 and 4 singles. We paid $39 and left him a penny tip. If we had 99 cents in change I would of left that.

She was like I am sorry and made it sound that we were going to get a 10% discount right then off the bill. Instead I got a 10% discount card with the date that looked like 7/9/09 on it. It was like she didn't really care about us and was just brushing us off. I was like I had it with this and resolved when I got home I am going to call the corporate headquarters.

When we got home, I called Johnny Rocket's customer service hotline and made a complaint to them about what happened. I felt like I got a more sincire appology from the person on the phone then I did from the manager. She took my address, name, number and email address and said that she was going to send the complaint to the head people.

Well, it's Sunday. Long time readers know that I tend to have issues with moodswings on Sundays. Something about the start of the work week the next day makes me want to curl up and hide. It didn't help that I woke up early and just couldn't get back to sleep. It will be worth it though, since I have to get to bed early tonight...and to work early tomorrow. This next week is back to the new Shoggoth Pit, lets hope the electrical guys get the AC running this week. *crosses tentacles*

Today, I'm going to finish my lunch (leftover pizza) and finish an episode of Mythbusters. Then off to Amythest 's place to do laundry and hang out. Amythest time always does help the mood. Then I'll head home, play with ferrets and go to bed around 10ish. Hopefully I'll get enough sleep to be functional tomorrow.

In happier thoughts, went to see Up last night with the gang. Very very good, if very emotional. It's not a sad movie, but boy are there spots you just want to cry your eyes out at. But, the funny and the 'oh wow' moments more than made up for it. So yes, go see it. Just bring kleenex.

Ok, enough babbling, time to do laundry. Wee, fun.

I can't wait for my easy papy unlimited metrocard comes in the mail.

Right now I am using pay per ride metrocards which I bought before they raised the fares from $2 to $2.25. So now I get fewer rides on the metrocard and I am left with a $2 balance.

I can always add a quarter to make up the fare but I would get a paper transfer and that is not good for the subway and also bus drivers spot the paper transfer and won't let you use it at non tranfer points. When you have the metrocard the transfer is on your card and works at the non-tranfer points.

This is really important when I have my doctor appointments on Thursday and when I hang out in Fresh Meadows before work. I take one bus to get there and another bus to get home/work and you an tranfer to those buses from the first bus.

Well.. anyway.. I am glad that they only raised the bus fare 25 cents this time, the last time it was 50 cents, which was 1/3 of the price, from $1.50 to $2. So the fare hike isn't as bad as the last time.

Mom's getting the house ready to sell so she can move here to Winnipeg. She's getting it nicely staged for prospective buyers, and now wants to live in the house. ;-P

However, the union for the big business back home is thinking about a strike, which is, well, it'll kill any chance Mom has of selling. Let's just leave it at that.

Looking forward to having her in the city. We both need to support each other now.

I have talked to Carina K a couple of times on twitter and I always leave with a smile. A real sweet person and talented now give a listen to this song by her it is called the Twitter Rock star I just loved it ;o) and I used a smiley face and you know I only use it for those that make me smile ;o)))

The ringing in my ears is particularly loud tonight. It’s very frustrating dealing with this, especially when it seems there’s no end in sight. If I live to be 90, I’ll have to listen to this God-awful noise for the next 50 years. Sometimes I feel like screaming.

Earlier today, a thought occurred to me. I think I hit on something that may explain, at least partly, why this is so distressing to me. Other than the obvious—an annoying noise that just won’t shut up.

The thing is, it defies the laws of physics that I was taught govern the world, way back when I was in 5th or 6th grade. Sound comes from objects, rubbing together or vibrating or doing something to create sound. Sound doesn’t just come from nothing. And yet here is this sound in my head coming from nothing. That’s not the way the world is supposed to work.

The question is not “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” The question is, “How can there be a sound of a tree falling if the tree doesn’t fall?”

You know, I think the problem is not in my ears, but in my brain. The ENT didn’t find anything because he was looking in the wrong place. I don’t think there’s a problem with my ears; there’s a problem with my brain.

And actually that’s worse. Because that means I’m mental.

And if I’m not already, I soon will be if I cannot find any peace.

I got the Henna Penna in the mail yesterday and I tried it out today. I liek this alot better then regular henna, it is easier to manage and dosen't run.

I put this on my right ankle. The picture is sideways, but it would pretty much look the same right side up so I didn't bother rotating it.

I think I need to stop doing the lines and dots.

Went to Half Price Books, spent 0 dollars. *in shock*

Couple of months ago now I picked up a pair of the old "Hilton" style doors from the local ReStore (Used Household items, run by Habitat for Humanity). Three Two doors, solid wood, solid Jambs, 25$ a piece. Of course they were a rather nasty.. Almost a Camo-green color. I'm not sure what the color was BEFORE it had 10-20 yrs of Grime on it, but It didn't look that nice to me. I've spent the last couple of hours sanding one down with a Disk sander in the back yard. Perfect weather for it too. With a little shade from the oak by the sandbox, its quite comfortable out there.

Anyway, so far I've run through about 6? of the medium grade disks getting the top layer of paint off the entire door, and getting one side almost 100% clean. The other side needs a lot of work, but I think I can get away with another 3-4 disks to finish it all the way down to the bare wood. Figure another 3-4 disks per door of the fine grade and the door will be ready for paint!

Oh, except for the little groove works around the insets.. NO idea how I'm going to clean those up at his point. We'll figure that out later.

Arms are getting >Tired< tho.

I hate nightmares. I hate insane nightmares at that. Last night, this morning, I had a dream about being at some gather or party, with my cat. My sick cat. My sick cat who've I've never owned, known or seen that I can recall. So at the party, my cat passes away. Sad. So I go looking for my SO, who was my ex from some years ago. She didn't seem to understand that the cat had died, and I didn't want to party. This is a common thing in my dreams, that I have a simple request or something to communicate, and the person I'm talking to just doesn't get it. It's not malicious, it's just like I've stopped speaking English. Finally I got the point across, and we went home. Then I got online, and ended up playing a very hard soccer game with shadowstarr. Then I woke up...and was very sad. Kitties and ferrets are fine, if a little comfused why I was looking so twitchy.

So, now I'm up and watching Mythbusters. Nothing shakes off the bad dreams like Kari Byron. In a few min I'm going to go get some lunch, then recreate a Saturday from my childhood. Back in NY, the local Fox channel would play bad Marital Arts movies Saturday afternoon. I am a huge fan of Golden Harvest and Shaw Studios. Well, I've been slowly getting back into watching them on a regular basis, thanks to Netflix. So, I'm off to get pizza, make an egg creme, and watch people kick each other for a bit. Later I'll be going to see 'Up' with the gang, and hanging out. Should make for a very good day. So, I'll talk to you all later.
